Gerald brings thought-provoking themes into his music to address various societal issues from family values to feminism, governance, amongst others. Remarkably, he builds most of his music as creative adaptations of traditional Igbo music, and thus modifies the music to fit into specific modern issues and contexts. By doing this, he supplies an alternative to Nigerian hip-hop which, he believes, is not able to fully humanize the Nigerian person.
In his pursuit to contribute uniquely to an integration of the indigenous music of the Igbo with the modern styles, his compositions are derived from his integration with his society as he collaborates with other musicians of various genres and cultures. Without doubt, this approach is unique, artistic, creative and impactful.
